REDEVELOPMENT OF KAILASH COLONY

Re-densification of Kailash colony Metro precinct, assuming a population increase to 150%. The design sought to establish identifiable neighborhoods, aesthetically pleasant public spaces and create focal points as landmarks, with an emphasis on the pedestrian user of the space. The precinct complex provides for an integrated building housing the metro station, retail shopping, office spaces and business hotels within the same built mass. The strategy creates a magnet, promoting the use of public transport as well as improving community life.
