Modern Residential Interiors in Delhi

This project was conceived as a thoughtful dialogue between the past and the present—an exercise in preserving the soul of an existing family home while seamlessly introducing a contemporary extension that responds to the evolving needs of its residents.

Rather than creating a stark contrast between old and new, the design approach focused on continuity, ensuring that every addition felt like a natural progression of the original architecture. The extension draws inspiration from the character-defining elements of the existing residence—its tropical influences, soft architectural curves, and subtle colonial detailing—reinterpreting them through a clean, modern design language that is both timeless and understated.

Despite an ambitious design and execution timeline of just one month, every space was meticulously planned to create a cohesive living experience. The interiors balance warmth with simplicity, incorporating carefully curated materials, refined finishes, and a restrained palette that enhances the sense of openness and comfort throughout the home.

The new addition accommodates a series of highly personalized spaces tailored to the family's lifestyle. Tranquil bedrooms provide private retreats, while a dedicated study offers a focused environment for work and reflection. At the heart of the extension lies a cozy home-theatre nook—designed as a versatile gathering space for everything from intimate movie nights to spirited cricket match screenings with family and friends.

Particular attention was given to the flow between the original structure and the new intervention. Transitions are intentionally subtle, allowing occupants to move effortlessly between spaces without experiencing a visual or functional disconnect. The result is a home that feels unified in character yet enriched by contemporary comforts and modern spatial planning.
